I am excited about the potential for sowing the seeds of the gospel that we have with the project "Love Acts Augusta."  The purpose of the church is revealed through the Great Commission.  "Love Acts Augusta" is a practical way to approach the fultillment of the Great Commission in a local church.  The projects that each church will plan and implement will demonstrate the love of Christ through loving acts of kindness.

I am working on a packet of materials to send to each church that will contain detailed information on how they may get involved.  As Acts 1:8 demonstrates, God expects His people to claim responsibility for their local communities before expanding their circle of influence to other points of concern.

It stands to reason that anything with so much potential for good also has the potential for misuse and even harm.  I want to suggest four foundational principles that I encourage you to practice.

1. Bathe every project with intense prayer, and "Prayer Walk" the community before you begin your project.
2. Train your workers to be intentionally evangelistic.
3. Those participating must genuinely show love and concern for the people they minister to.
4. Equip your people for personal witnessing.
